Ethical guidelines review

Adherence to principles of ethical guidelines is a key requirement in conducting health research. These principles were developed from the Nuremberg Code, 1948, further refined in the Declaration of Helsinki, 1975 and clearly outlined in the Belmonte Report, 1979.

They include respect for persons where individuals are treated autonomously and persons with diminished autonomy are protected, beneficence where human subjects should not be harmed and research should maximize benefits and Justice where benefits and risks must be weighed upon while conducting research.

At Splint Research, our experts are highly trained on ethical issues regarding human research to support our clients by ensuring that research works adhere to internationally acceptable standards of ethical guidelines and to ensure that the research papers meet the standards of Institutional Review Boards. We also support our clients by helping them canvas the ethical issues raised by the IRB adequately.
